Stanley Nyayati Young represents the Dream of the Emu. This Dreaming belongs to different tribes and illustrates the complexity of the desert's social structures, which are based on a system of kinship. Legend has it that in the Dreamtime - the time of creation for the Aborigines - an emu ancestor (Yankirri) travelled to Ngarlikurlangu to drink from a waterhole (concentric circle) where he met Wardilyka, a bustard ancestor, with whom he fought to feed on the grapes (Yakajirri) that both coveted. The various concentric circles symbolise the sacred place as seen from the sky, as well as the round fruit associated with it.
