Jill Namunjdja is an Aboriginal artist belonging to the Kuninjku clan in Arnhem Land. She creates sculptures in the Northern Australian tradition, representing the Mimih spirits. These spirits occupy a central place in the mythology, culture and art of the region's Aboriginal people. According to tradition, the Mimih are aerial deities who live in rocks or caves. She also creates paintings on bark.
