Born in Pakistan in 1954 to Australian parents, G.W. BOT lived in many countries until the age of twenty, following her father who was a soldier. She studied art in London, Paris and Australia. In the manner of the Australian Aborigines, she has taken on a totem, that of the Wombat, an endemic mammal.
Linocut is the artist's preferred medium. She discovered this engraving technique in London in the 1980s. She then developed a personal calligraphy in which her vision of the land and her sensitivity merge.
