This painting is dedicated to the Dream of the seeds of the watiya-warnu (or acacia tenuissima, an endemic bush in Western Australia), which have curative uses for the Aborigines living in the desert. They crush the seeds to make a paste which, when ingested, cures stomach problems. It's hardly surprising, then, that the Aborigines have a legend linked to the watiya-warnu ancestor, but the gist of it is reserved for the initiated.
