Waru Kazil is based on the concept of survival. This term refers to the small turtles and the new generation that is coming. Dennis Nona wanted to work on the theme of the turtle, which seems to have disappeared from the small island of Badu, without anyone really knowing why. Hunting is still practiced excessively, making turtles hard to find. Many have now moved to the mainland where they have survived, but they are becoming rare on the island. In the print, they are seen fleeing the island; the old laws will need to be rediscovered in order to try to preserve the turtles. People have abused the situation. But the generation of our great-grandchildren will see the turtles return.
