This painting is about a sacred site created during the Dreamtime by the mythical "Tingari Men", who travelled the desert with their wives and apprentices, initiating them into the secrets of Creation.
At each stage of their journey, they introduced various rituals that the Aborigines have continued to celebrate ever since, with songs, dances and floor paintings depicting the Tingari's journey. As the events associated with these legends are of a secretive nature, very few additional details are provided by the artists who dedicate a work to them.
