Selina Fisher Napanangka presents in these paintings a version of the Pikilyi Dreaming, a sacred site featuring a waterhole and a stream near Yuendumu. According to legend, a pair of Rainbow Serpents lived there. Women would remove lice from the bodies of these mythical beings, and in return, they were granted the right to take water from the stream.

Aboriginal people continue to hold ceremonies at this site, where the spirit of the two serpents still resides.

In the painting, the undulating lines represent the flowing water of the river, while the black teardrop shapes likely symbolize the lice that clung to the serpents.
