British-born Alastair McNaughton studied art before embarking on a career as an illustrator. His passion for photography led him to travel the world with his camera.

After Africa and India, he arrived in Australia and spent two years living in the community of Coonana (Western Australia), where he took photographs illustrating scenes of everyday Aboriginal life and the distinctive landscapes of Coonana.

He has since settled in Sydney, and in this shot he pays tribute to the iconic city with its mythical Opera House and the bridge spanning its bay.

This fine art photograph captures the vibrant contrast between urban architecture and coastal serenity. It makes a striking addition to any Australian art collection or a powerful decorative element in a modern interior.
