Born in Pakistan to Australian parents, G.W. BOT lived in numerous countries until the age of twenty, following her father, who was in the military. She studied art in London, Paris, and Australia. Living and working in Canberra since 1985, she has developed a deep attachment to her local environment, which has become the central theme of her work. The linocut technique, which she discovered in London, has remained her preferred mode of expression. Through it, she has developed a personal calligraphy where her dreamlike vision of the landscape and her profound sensitivity merge.
