Gima Guun is a traditional term that refers both to the hunting dogs used to track wild boars and to the very scent of the boar itself. The inhabitants of Badu Island use packs of eight to ten dogs that can spend hours searching for a boar. When one of the dogs suddenly takes off running, it means it has picked up the scent. It is this exact moment that the artist captures in his print.
