Freda Brady is heir to the Dream of the Seven Sisters. This ancestral tale is part of the tjukurpa, the set of ancestral stories and laws inherited and preserved by the inhabitants of this region. To bring these stories to life, the initiates organise great ritual ceremonies, punctuated by times devoted to body painting and dance.

Here, the artist paints the moment when the sisters cross the country trying to escape the man chasing them, Nyiru. The concentric circles on the canvas represent the water holes and rock holes where the sisters camped. As for the sinuous lines, finely dotted, they represent the paths taken by the women through the region.
