Western artist Helen Kennedy rejects figurative painting, turning her work into an exploration of light, color, and form. She has explored their various relationships in a series of oil paintings on canvas titled Untitled. In these studies - though fully resolved - the viewer's attention is drawn to the interplay of transparency and opacity, from which enigmatic forms gradually emerge. This process contrasts with the more common approach, where color is used to "fill in" pre-defined shapes.
