Ann Thomson's paintings come from her subconscious, which she relates to a place or an image. Her fascination is about hanging elements, and her artistic obsession focuses on the reality beneath the surface.

From an early age, Ann Thomson was interested in the turbulence of water and related objects. She also works on the invisible movements of air masses and their effects. This obsession is strongly present in her sculptures and mobiles.

In an abstract way, the artist prefers working with materials to create movement. Rapid can go beyond appearances to reveal the substratum of things.
