Paljukutjara is located in Western Australia near the community of Balgo Hills.

This arid area of the Great Sandy Desert is the traditional homeland of Helicopter and his family.

During long walks in the footsteps of their ancestors - or Walk About - the various clans stop off at the Paljukutjara watering hole to refuel.

The parallel lines evoke the many sand dunes that make up the landscape.

The whole, very vivid, is representative of Balgo's art, which is characterised by bright colours, warm tones and the radiance of the material.
