A high dignitary in his clan, Terry is responsible for a territory around Barlparnarra Pond, where there are many sacred sites. While Barlparnarra is linked to the myth of the Two Sisters, many Dream Trails associated with other mythical ancestors converge on this ceremonial site.this painting recounts the association between one of the Two Sisters - Muturlu - and a tree - the Jikara - from behind which she appeared in Barlparnarra. On the right is Gachalan, the water goanna (varan) whose story is closely linked to that of the Two Sisters. Stéphane Jacob runs the gallery Arts d'Australie - Stéphane Jacob. Expert in Aboriginal Art, Member of the Chambre Nationale des Experts Spécialisés en Objets d'Art et de Collection (C.N.E.S.), co-author of the catalogue of the collections of the Musée des Confluences in Lyon and of the book ‘La peinture aborigène’.
