Wandjina
Yvonne was given the right by her mother to represent these motifs inspired by paintings found on the walls of a cave near Ngallagunda (literally "snake head"). Two painted snakes can be seen in this cave, but also the three Wanjinas, represented here, the middle one being the king of the Wanjinas, magnified by his crown. The artist's use of natural pigments - materials of the origins - (kaolin, ochres, charcoal) symbolises his unbreakable links with his past.
