The ghostnet sculptures are made from the scraps of drifting fishing nets, lost or abandoned by trawlers.

The Australian artists decided to create sculptures from this debris in order to alert the general public to the catastrophic consequences caused by this pollution, not only on the marine natural environment but also on the culture of these people of the sea.
