Originally from Yuendumu in the Central Desert, Patricia Oldfield NAKAMARRA evokes in her work the Dream (Jukurrpa) of the Serpent (Warna) linked to the sacred site of Ngama, located south of her community. This very important dream explains how the many marshes on which the desert people depend for survival were created and, above all, gives spatial references for finding them according to the dunes, rocky promontories, etc.
