Linus Warlapinni was born in Melville Island, one of the two islands off Darwin (on the north coast of Australia where the Tiwi Aboriginal community lives. It is on this island that in 1980 was founded the big artistic community of Milikapiti, to which Linus Warlapinni belongs.
