The artist represents with this painting the site of Warumpi, located near Papunya, and through it the "Dream of the Honey Ant". This sacred story is only known to the initiated. It is only known that honey ant ancestors gathered in Papunya to perform ceremonies and then set off on further journeys across the desert.
