Si le nuage qui se reflète sur la surface de l’eau est trop près du canoë du pêcheur, celui-ci ne pourra plus repérer sa proie et donc la harponner. Les chasseurs qui reviennent bredouilles disent qu’il y a eu trop d’Amal. L’Amal est en fait le protecteur de la tortue et du dugong. |

If the cloud is reflected on the surface of the water near the hunter’s canoe, it affects visibility through the water, making it almost impossible to sight and successfully harpoon the turtle or dugong. Hunters returning home without a catch will say there was too much Amal. Amal is in fact a protector of the turtle and dugong. |
